Full membership is open to any registered, sell-side national securities dealer active in the fixed income capital markets. Prospective members must complete an application for membership and agree to the mission and principles as offered by the BDA board of directors. Membership dues are tied directly to fixed income revenue with a minimum and maximum cap.
Associate memberships are available to technology providers, law firms, rating agencies, credit enhancers, GSEs and others with direct business interests in national fixed income. Associate members of BDA receive many, but not all, of the same benefits as full members: Member rates at conferences and events; 20% discount on sponsorships and exhibits; logo and web link placed on BDA home page; BDA committee participation—excluding executive committees.
Membership allows BDA members to collaborate and network on issues of unique interest to national dealers. The product of this collaboration is then presented to key federal regulators and policy makers to ensure improved efficiencies for the U.S. domestic fixed income markets.
