Senator Roger Wicker(R-MS), the lead sponsor of legislation that would fully restore advance refundings and create a new BABs program exempt from sequestration, contacted the BDA and the broader Public Finance Network, to ask for help in growing support for their common sense muni legislation as the Senate begins deliberations on a possible stimulus package.

I am asking for your support for Senator Wicker’s LOCAL Infrastructure Act that would fully reinstate advance refundings for tax exempt municipal bonds and the American Infrastructure Bonds Act, which creates a new Build America Bonds program, both packages aimed at increasing investment in infrastructure nation wide. As the Senate continues negotiations for a possible Phase IV Coronavirus relief package, we ask that the Senator support these two common sense and bi-partisan pieces of legislation.
